|Carrie climbed to the position of Sales and Marketing Director working for several major hotel chains before starting Grass Shack Events and Media with her partner and husband Mike McAllen.
The family tradition will continue, as Mike and Carrie’s daughter Brittney is a sales coordinator at the Oakland Marriott City Center. Brittney’s skills acquired while doing production work on many Grass Shack events in the past is also helping her in her career.
|Carrie is hoping their grandson Mayson Farr will be groomed to take over the business. Mayson will need to cast off the diapers he currently wears before any formal talks begin.|
Mike McAllen’s history in production starts when he was an often used child actor by his father Bob McAllen’s film company.
|Bob produced industrial films with his own production company M/M Films. The company was named after Mike as Michael McAllen Film Productions as the full title.|

|Mike and the rest of his family were often featured in many of Bob’s films. He cited their unique acting abilities, but they knew he was always conscious of the client budgets and the family usually worked for free. One family member he correctly saw talent brewing was Mike’s sister Kathie Jones who became a very successful actress. She has starred in Soap Operas on TV, films and most of all the stage. One of her highlights was a nomination for a Tony award for her work in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s show Aspects of Love.|
|Mike still loves trying to be as creative as his father.
He also tries to be as tenacious as his mother. He produces several podcasts, including one for Kiva.org. Mike belongs to The Professional Bull Writers Association (a creative writing group) and is active in video storytelling on the web.
