With a family of hoteliers putting on events and meetings going back as far as Grandma Thelma, Carrie spent 16 years making her career in the same industry. She has had the pleasure of working for major hotel companies such as Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Mark Hopkins Inter-Continental, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Red Lions Hotels & Resorts and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts.Her responsibilities included managing key market segments such as corporate, association, government and tour/travel. She embraced her role to affect sales in a broad scope, by educating and mentoring her sales teams. In addition, she worked for a major audio/visual and production company Projection Presentation Technology opening new offices in Chicago and San Francisco.

As President, Carrie continues to focus on the Sales & Marketing of the operation. Her involvement ensures Grass Shack Events & Media provides the basic fundamental element of service to all of our clients and building great relationships along the way. The planning and production seamlessly builds from there into successful execution of all Grass Shack’s projects.

Carrie’s home life is filled with outdoor activities, such as putting her green thumb to work in the garden, running, hiking, yoga and spending time with the family parrots and dogs.
