Siemens Medical Product Launch Event Production at the Regency Building in San Francisco

Challenge

For the third year in a row Siemens Medical Solutions contracted with Grass Shack for all the production elements of the launch of the new SOMATOM Definition CT Scanner. The meeting was to showcase the abilities of the new CT scanner using a satellite feed for a live discussion with a doctor performing a live scan in New York. The meeting and customer event was to be held at the beautiful Regency Building in San Francisco.

Grass Shack Solution

After selecting the venue Grass Shack Events and Media went into production mode to secure the correct vendors and production staff, staging, audio visual, animations and prop creative and creation, for the meeting and reception. A replica of the SOMATOM Definition was brought in for display at the front of the large set and stage. During the meeting were also presentations by Siemens executives and a testimonial presentation.

Following the meeting a reception was held in the lodge level of the regency building. Siemens workstations were set up so the clients could have food and drinks plus discuss the capabilities of the new product. A band played for background music, a local artist painted pictures of the guests on his computer which were projected onto a large screen. Around the room large golden frames had matted plasmas which played loops of animated detailed images from the SOMATOM Definition. They, like the images the SOMATOM produces were works of art displayed brilliantly for the attendees to admire.

Results

Guests were given feedback cards and among the responses were that over 90% of the participants of the Siemens event and the live transmission found this symposium a good use of their time. 86% of the participants would recommend this Siemens CT symposium to a colleague.
